I'm quite surprised with most of the reviews so far. I think it's an above average hostel.

I thought the location was good. In a fairly nice area with plenty of pubs and restaurants around.

The clean factor wasn't the best, but it certainly wasn't the worst.

The Facilities were average and the bathrooms were sort of small, but the good thing is that there are a ton of bathrooms, so you hardly ever have to wait to go to the bathroom. Also plenty of showers as well.

The rooms range widely, depending on what you are looking for. The newer rooms are nicer with better beds. The lockers are huge, so plenty of room for your stuff.

What I enjoyed most about this hostel was the common areas and the kitchen. The common areas are big and they have smoking and non-smoking rooms. The Kitchen is nice and big, and the back of the hostel has some picnic tables with some nice flowers.

I do think that the staff are not very outgoing, but it didn't really affect my experience there.

Overall, I enjoyed my time there.

This hostel is in a really nice area and just a 10 min walk to the museums in South Kensington. Even though the building is quite old I found it very clean and has a great kitchen. The staff are all helpful and friendly. This is a good hostel to meet people also as it has two fantastic common rooms.

This place was not very clean but the location was good. However, I definitely stayed in worse places on my trip. No cockroaches is a good thing!

Location was OK. Hostel is dirty and messy. Showers are damp and dirty and the doors didn't close very well.

This hostel was not very clean, it was a little seedy and the bathrooms were disgusting. It was very run down and the staff was not very friendly or helpful.

Without doubt the worst hostel I have ever stayed in, filthy, dirty, poor showers, bloody expensive rip off. Whoops-I forgot about Eurotower, which is the worst ever, so Earls Court is the second from bottom. However, since the laundry in the basement is rarely used it's a good spot for a shag.
