Review:
Our group of 7 was housed in two 2-person and one 3-person
bungalows. They were small, round, and spartan, with two cots and a small
night stand on a concrete floor, covered by a tattered palm frond roof. Our
bungalow (and particularly my bed) was inhabited by a large family of spiders,
while one of the others was taken over by ants and the third had several
cockroach visitors. Of course, no one goes to the Far Out Club for the
accomodations.
The pool area was clean, beautifully landscaped, and busy (read: FUN!) and also
contained a pool bar, pizza place, internet cafe, and the main restaurant.
Once you got tired of the pool you could stumble 10 metres out to the beach,
which was very clean. The restaurant was very good and cheap and in the early
evening they showed recently released movies while everyone waited for the
clubs in town to open. There was a bus stop into town right at the entrance
and staff was very friendly when we stumbled back from town after dawn the next
morning.
While the rooms were pretty gross, the shared facilities were very good,
although you had to bring your own toilet paper. Showers were clean and hot.
I would go back, although a few days at a time is enough for me!
