I
stayed in March 2002. I really enjoyed the hostel. My
room had an en-suite bathroom and shower and the bed was
comfortable enough. You could book a black cab tour and
other activities from the relatively pleasant front desk
staff. Kitchen was adequate. It was a short walk to city
center and many tourist sights. I never felt
uncomfortable or nervous.

We
stayed there when it had only recently opened at the end
of 1999, so standards may have slipped since then, but
I'd rate it as one of the best hostels I've stayed in.
Clean, comfortable, friendly & convenient for town -
just about everything you could ask for, really.
