DO NOT GO THERE. I got thrown out of the hostel at eleven pm for whatever reason. Hostel owner was very aggressive and even hit me once.

DO NOT STAY HERE. We were kicked out on our third night after booking three in advance, for no reason other than the owner was drunk! He kick us out at eight o'clock at night making us throw away the food we had just cooked. The owner was rude, refusing to turn on the air conditioning and not letting us control the telly. The only communal area was the reception where the owner (who was about 40) sat 'getting it on' with a twenty year old Russian blonde, he claimed to be his daughter. Everyone else staying at the hostel at the time also agreed they did not trust the owner! Sleeping rough is better than staying in this place, and a lot cheaper.

Avoid this hostel!!! It appears normal and clean but the owner is a sexist dangerous man. He threatened his staff and his customers when I stayed there. He threw some of our belongings at us when we placed it on a bed we had not paid for. He eavesdropped outside of our room and came in yelling when he heard us talking about him. When I told him we were talking because he had falsely advertised air conditioning, he kicked me, my party and others out of the hostel. He also lost someone's passport from his safe and yelled at all customers when he found a glass missing from the kitchen. Do not stay here.

If you wish to join the marine corps or you live with abusive parents, this hostel is perfect for you. The key to survival is not to question authority and be on your guard. Although the Navigator is clean and appears normal, it is not a safe place to stay. We have seen management hit their staff and heard arguements in the middle of the night. We do not recommend this hostel. It is in your best interest to stay elsewhere.

This was an awesome hostel. The host was super friendly and was always around to give us directions or tips about what to see in Rome. The whole facility was very clean and there was a great kitchen that travellers could use. Internet service was affordable too. Navigator was only a short walk from all the major attractions in Rome and was really close to a subway stop. The hostel was kind of tricky to find the first time but it was worth the difficulty!
