This hostel is average - i've been in better and i've also been in worse. Our arrival was not marked by any rude receptionists as seemed to be the case with many others at this hostel, but they did seem a little on the disorganized side. We checked in around 12:30, and checkout is supposed to be 11, however our beds weren't ready as the people who had them the night before hadn't even woken up yet. It wasn't as clean as the pictures, but what hostel ever is. The bathrooms had a nasty tendency to run out of toilet paper, and not all of the showers were working. The staff were friendly and helpful for the most part. The kitchen and the free breakfast definite perks.

The best value hostel in Madrid. Clean, safe, in the center of Madrid for only 16 euro per night. Free breakfast. Great location near 3 different Metro stations. A quick walk brings you to Puerta del Sol, Gran Via, El Prado museum and Parque del Retiro. Takes reservations through their website or by phone. Downstairs bar (with student-friendly prices), and great services like laundry, Internet access, Fax, Telephone and individual lockers. Great place to meet fellow travelers from all over the world.
