[stayed apr 2003] This hostel is in a nice central location on a quiet street. (You can still hear the bells though!) It's not the most secure place, but there didn't seem to be any problems. It was quite clean and comfortable, and they had just installed great new showers on one floor (the ones on the other floor were pretty bad though). The restaurant downstairs serves good food and gives hostel guests a free small beer with their meal. If you're there on a Saturday morning, check out the market on the nearby 't Zand square.

Great location, friendly staff, excellent restaurant selling local food, showers filthy and cold, don't bother with breakfast as it's just a slice of bread and orange juice, and there's a fab waffle shop just down the road. No lockers. No curfew, all day entry, storage area available before check in.
