This was one of my favorite hostels in the whole six months I spent in Europe. The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable, the staff was generally friendly and helpful. The showers occasionally got slightly clogged, which is easily avoidable if you shower before 9. The lockout period and midnight curfew can get in the way if you're looking to party until the wee hours of the morning.

The best thing about it was the inner courtyard where you could sit, drink and chat with the students that live there or with other travelers and the stocked kitchen (it can only be used during the summer months) was great to save money in an expensive city that isn't known for having the best cuisine.

Its location is great, about 5-10 minutes of walking from the train station, saving money in ferry rides. If you don't have the ISIC card and are planning to spend a few days here buy the Rolling in Venice card at the train station as it will save you 3 Euros a night.

Close to the train station, it's also not too far from the San Marco action and close enough to the less-touristy and best parts of Venezia. Once a convent, it's now run by a Catholic college, so partiers won't like it here. There's also a 12:30 a.m. curfew, but most other places in town seem to have the same curfew -- however, there is also a 9 a.m. checkout and a long lockout. Bathrooms are cleaned meticulously and are close to the roooms. Staff is pleasant. It's also a great deal; discounts given for under-26s and dorms came to 13 euro a night, doubles for 15.

The hostel has a great atmosphere and a nice common square. The kitchen is well equipped. The bathrooms are very clean. The staff is just friendly and helpful. This was the cheapest accomodation in Venice city. But it's good to reserve the rooms before getting there, because it seems to be crowded, especially in summer.

ry nice rooms with great decor. Private, clean bathrooms. Good location, close to the train station. Good breakfast. Worth the extra money. The only bad aspect was that the staff was fairly surly, and was fairly unintested in my dillema when I lost my ATM card and had no access to the cash machine. My bill fell just under the amount necessary to use a credit card, but the staff insisted that I use my dwindling supply of cash.
