Review:
When we booked we were told we had a en-suite room for 10, but on
arrival, it was two rooms - one for four, one for six - both extremely cramped.
The whole hostel stank of unclean toilets and despite card keys needed for
rooms, we had two tops taken from our room (no lockers in room).
The poster for the adjoining bar claims it was open to 3am but this depends
entirely on whether the bar staff can be bothered.

Review:
Stayed in a 4 bed dorm, with ensuite. Only thing lacking, which is
just a personal preference of mine, is lockers in the room. I just like to
have a space to throw my stuff into, not even necessarily to lock, just to
throw all my junk into one pile out of sight. And the water pressure in the
shower was crap, but thats not something that can be helped really. Rooms were
secure with keycard entry, which gave added peace of mind. And the heating
worked perfectly right in the coldest of the cold weather. It did kill me
having to climb the three flights of stairs to my room, but thats just me.
Staff were super friendly- when I was checking in, there was a huge line up of
people also waiting to do so, but the staff stayed friendly, and handed us all
a free vodka shot! Location was perfect for the train station- literally
across the road! I spend most of my time in Edinburgh socialising in pubs,
etc, with mates, and the location was perfect for that as well! When I return to Edinburgh I'll be staying here again!
