This hostel was very fun. I suppose it is mostly in part to the
great people staying here, but the atmosphere encourages socializing. The
rooms also felt fairly safe. The location is prime. It is near a Boulanger,
supermarket, and Laundromat and Internet café. Also the Sacre Couer is about a
10-minute walk away. The kitchen is small, but very nice to have, and the
courtyard is awesome. The lockout and curfew can be annoying, but generally
aren’t a problem and they are pretty lenient about it. The showers are pretty
gross too, and usually there was a line up to get in, but otherwise this was an
awesome hostel, and I definitely recommend it.

This was the first of many hostels I stayed at in Europe and I must
say it was one of the best. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the
location is prime. The hostel had a very laid back, easy-going atmosphere and
was not too expensive. The courtyard is small, but festive and the free
breakfast bread and coffe was nice. Thumbs up.

Well, its a pretty cozy set up, but honestly it seems like the
employees hate backpackers. I guess it's a cool place to meet people. But the
breakfast in the morning... don't be fooled. It's just bread and jam with some
really bad coffee that tastes like reheated coffee fom the previous day. The
kitchen too is totally not sanitary, but hey, it's a hostel.
The location kinda sucks. The only thing close is Montmartre and that can get
boring after a while. If you wanna get anywhere you gotta take the metro and
make like 1 to 3 transfers. So all in all, I would say the least flattering thing about it is definetly the
location. Would I return? Nope. It's one of the cheapest places to stay in Paris, and I
can see why.

Fabulous location--easy access to metro and everything
you want to see. Friendly & helpful staff. Great
courtyard area where you can hang out and talk story
with other travelers. Fun vibe. Not too loud--just bring
earplugs and an eye mask. Fairly clean...great little
breakfast. I would definitely stay here again.
Montmartre is the most wonderful area in Paris! Fifteen
minute walk up the hill to the gorgeous Sacre Coeur--in
the evenings you can walk up there and sit on the steps
with both locals and travelers--listen to music & drink
cheap wine as you look out over Paris. Beautiful! |

Except for the curfew & lockout (which when you stay
long enough and get to know reception, they are really
cool about) this place was one of my fav hostels in
Europe. Small place w/ small rooms. Showers a bit dodgy
w/ that timer bit, but otherwise the place rocked. Right
in Montmartre and close to Anvers Metro and Gare de Nord.
Fresh baguettes at breaky and cheap beer at the "bar" (aka
fridge behind reception). Highly recommended. |
