This place had such a great atmoshpere !! It was the most social hostel that I stayed at on my journey. The rooms were clean, bunks were comfortable, and every bunk had it's own locker under the beds. The hostel offered great tours and nightlife scenes which most people did. I recommend the Vatican tour or else you'll get lost and see a whole lot without knowing what you saw. The only knock I had on this hostel was the shower facilities, small and awkward especially when in a mixed dorm.

This is by far the best hostel I have ever stayed in. Very clean rooms, good showers, clean kitchen and free breakfast ("help-yourself", with good coffee, cereals, milk, oj, snacks!). Ok location (about 4 blocks from the train station - not the best neighborhood ever but there was enough police around and, well, you have the advantage of being close to the train station if you want to travel around!). Free linen, towels, alarm clock. Super helpful and friendly staff (hot and flirty too!), fun people to hang out with, very good social space (hang-out room, kitchen and TV room with DVDs with english subtitles). Did I mention the FREE Internet? You gotta stay at the Yellow Hostel if you go to Rome. You know what they say, "All roads lead to Rome" - I'd say all roads in Rome lead to the Yellow Hostel!

I stayed in this hostel in the beginning of June 2003 and really enjoyed it. The location is a quick walk from the train station. The staff is extremely friendly. There is a kitchen which is really useful and a grocery store right next door, so at nght it often makes for a big pasta cooking party! Internet is free (!!) and they play movies at night! Really the atmosphere is wonderful and the only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because it isn't the nicest (esthetically speaking) and also because the floor bathroom was through my dorm which makes it very noisy, but any other room is just fine.

I really loved the atmosphere of this hostel, probably the friendliest staff I encountered on my whole trip. The downside was the showers (really small, water splashes everywhere)and the rooms weren't the greatest - but who stays in the rooms when you're in Rome?!

Located about 4 blocks from Termini, a very social hostel that I really enjoyed. The kitchen is definitely a plus, with the inexpensive market around the block. Internet is free, which of course means a bit of a wait and people that really don't respect the 20 minute time limit while others are waiting. Staff is great. The bathrooms are clean after they are cleaned, but the guests make them dirty pretty quickly, so at night they can get pretty bad. The showers are tiny and leave no place to hang your stuff. Lockers are pretty much first come-first served and aren't the greatest, but they do the job. Go on the pub crawl the first night of your stay and you'll meet everyone there, many of whom you'll end up hanging out with later.

The hostel was fairly easy to find and had a great English speaking staff. Rooms were clean, showers were VERY COLD, but the lounge and free internet kind of made up for it. Kitchen was nice fully stocked with a grocery store down the street we saved a lot of money by cooking in.

The hostel was split across a few floors of a building near the train station. Easy to find. The communal areas are on a different floor to the dorms. Dorms bed linen were clean. Dorms had a large fan in them which was very useful as it got very hot. Very low security, no locks on dorm doors, while I was there the lock on the door to the hostel was broken and there were insufficient lockers and they weren't allocated, it was first come, first served. The showers flexuated in temperature but when they were hot they were wonderful. The cubicles opened out into the corridor which restricted privacy especially as the hostel was mixed sex. The kitchen was very well equipped and even had a microwave. The internet was free and there were four terminals but there was always a queue.
