The system has now changed with the showers so no tokens are needed
- you can shower for as long as you like and they are very powerful and warm.
Rooms were clean and had own sink. Basic but good enough.
Highlight of the hostel was the bar and kitchen. Good, wholesome meals for
brilliant prices and the most affordable breakfast we found on our travels.
Beer and other drinks are also well priced. This means bar is busy and a great
place to meet people.
The hostel isn't in the centre of the old town but its within easy walking
distance of all the main sights and the station.
Definately recommend it.

Fantastic!!! No more than a 15min. walk from the train station; very
clean; bar downstairs with a happy hour; lockers available; showers cost .50
cents but this is given to you at checkin; overall fantastic experience loads
of travellers and dont forget to do the Sound of Music tour.

This place seriously nickel and dimes you. Deposit for sheets, pay
showers that last about 5 minutes, lockers that you have to pay for (2 Euro for
a big one) every time you open them up. They lost our online reservation and
acted like they did us a favor by eventually finding us beds. The rooms are
standard and have sinks and are well cleaned, but staff is just plain mean.
Best part of the place were the cheap dinners and unlimited salad bar and a
decent happy hour, but the sour staff makes me rate this low.

Great location, near to train station and city center. The dorm is
quite clean. However, my friend saw bugs crawling around the floor. Clean
bathrooms and toilets but 1 complaint about the showers. You need to dispense
shower token and each shower last for about 5 to 10 mins.

Glad I only stayed one night. Not my style. Comfy beds, great staff,
yummy food, and a whole lot of very cool Aussies. Unfortunately, the bathrooms
were a bit dirty and lacking in temp control, the place is very loud at night,
and I'd rather stay near the old city than the new. Salzburg is easy to get
around, though, so if you're a party-person, this is your place.

I loved the YOHO, there in 2002 with my brother. Staff brilliant,
food awesome, beer fantastic. Happy hour was the best hour, make sure you buy
plenty to last you.
Also visit the monastry on the other side of town, big beer, big place.
Thanks to the staff at YOHO for making our stay so great, Adam, Mali, Scottie,
cheers!

This hostel had a great location, close enough to walk
to the train station and a close walk to beautiful parks
and gardens. Clean with a great bar and good food every
night. I highly recommend it.

This a great place to party but that was about it! It
was under construction when we were there so it was very
dirty. We experienced our first and only coin operated
showers that were not that great and only 1 toilet for
each sex on each floor. Dinner I must say was good for
the price but internet was pricey! Staff was great
though and very accomodating to later partygoers! Not
great but not horrible either! |

A great hostel to party at. Many Americans and
Australians inhabit this place. The hostel has a bar in
it and everyone is standing on the tables with a beer in
their hand and singing songs at night. It is located
just a few blocks from Salzburg railway station. They
also offer yummy and cheap food. During Oktoberfest the
Autrian government runs cheap train tickets from Munich
to Salzburg (about 8 Euro) so if you are in Munich, pop
over to Salzburg for a few days |

Terrific location a short walk from the heart of
Salzburg. Lively common areas with smoking and
non-smoking lounges. Hearty breakfasts and dinners, and
the chef whips up a good pizza for lunch. Pretty basic
dorms (no reading lights or any extras). Shower tokens
give you six minutes, but it's a hot, blasting six
minutes. Courteous staff (mostly Aussies). No
complaints. Fine hostel. |
